Courting Treason

Courting Treason

There has been much discussion over the bromance regarding Donald and Vladimir. I really don’t desire the visual of affections on how and when they met but it’s clear they are courting treason. These boys are sharing a common infidelity to country and playing footsie under the table. Cheating is cheating and a lie is a lie, alike to Donald’s bromance, a rush in undercover.

In the spirit of courtship many of us have been on one or more blind dates. That’s when a “friend” or, more likely, a web-site has the person just for you. As an example, from my own play-book, just before a blind date, I had both the sentiment of optimism and utter dread. Then there’s the muttering to yourself, “Keep an open mind, just get it over with, and what the hell am I doing?” But, alas, off I went. While on a blind date there is the minutia of cryptic language to uncover but I came armed with memorized questions. On the top of my list was the inquiry into my date’s parental connections. If the response about their parent(s) had the word hate in it then the date was over. Check point. Blind dates have all the trappings for disappointment and are doomed for failure due to that silly expectation of honesty.

In the case of our soon to be President, his dirty laundry has been out there all along. Throughout this courtship his lies have been honest and from his heart. He is America’s blind date and now the wedding is ON, alongside his Russian enthusiast. Donald has, moreover, embraced us with his friends to join in a loveless marriage unified by hate and fear. In a state of defiance, you may think this is the one for you. Out of desperation you put your fingers in your ears, “la-la-la-la” and hope for the best. Surprise! This diabolical union carries with it a completely unknown definition of a shot-gun wedding.
